The 310-8 is probably better suited to the 36",37" or 42" decks, but will handle a 48" deck if you mow weekly & don't ruff cut once a month.No need to remove the pto pulley. Remove the 2 bolts holding the brake pad on. Then the belt will come off. To put the brake back on apply the pto. Place a business card between the brake pad and the pto bell. Hold it tight and tighten the bolts. Release the pto and remove business card. Ready to go.paul@sses. my 310-8. the drive belt idler seized and shredded the belt. replaced pulley, replaced belt with actual wheel horse belt as i have noticed WH tend to not like aftermarket drive belts. its a covered 7473 belt. but now my clutch is sooo tight. as soon as any pressure is released on the pedal, we are flying. this was not the case last ....
