Amex has better food but the UC has more searing and tends to be quieter in my experience. I also hate waiting in line at the amex lounge bar just to get a soda. At peak times the UC club is nearly as bad as the Centurion Lounge, and it has crappy food-light, and no decent free wine. At off hours you can find a seat.
