GLOBAL SHAPERS WARSAW

The Global Shapers Community was established by the World Economic Forum to bring together young people in their 20s who are exceptionally committed to achieving change in their communities.

As the Forum explains: “Shapers are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a positive contribution to their communities. Aged under 30 and working in diverse fields, the Shapers are a network of hubs founded and led by the next generation.”

There are Global Shapers hubs in cities all over the world; they are places for young leaders to meet, build friendships and work together on the topics that matter most to them. The members of the different Global Shapers hubs around the world get to know each other too: we meet each other at international and regional events, on online platforms and when passing through each others’ cities.

Shapers are highly motivated individuals who have a great potential for future leadership roles in society. They are selected on the basis of their achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to make a difference. Through the Global Shapers Community, Shapers are provided with opportunities to connect with the worldwide network of Global Shapers, to network with other World Economic Forum communities, and to represent the voice of youth at World Economic Forum events. Shapers are united by a common desire to channel the members’ tremendous energy and enthusiasm into building a more peaceful and inclusive world.

Currently, there are over 400 hubs in cities all over the world, actively run by ca. 6000 Shapers. The Warsaw Hub was among the first to be launched and operates since 2012 as the only representative of the Community in Poland.
